In May we like to take a walk to Margaret's Pond to look for tadpoles and frogs.

Our children always enjoy the walk into the woods to find the bluebells.  They find badger setts, tractor tracks and hundreds of bluebells.

Library Visits

All the children visit the Downley Community Library 2 or 3 times a year.  They look at the books, listen to stories and a stop at the playground on the way back is always a treat.

Winter walks mean wrapping up warmly, but gives the children a different view of the woods.

On November 5th we walk from Woodlands across the common to see the HUGE bonfire and hear about Guy Fawkes from Bill, who had built the bonfire with Rosie the Tractor.

Autumn walks are a great chance to look for the changing colours of the woods.
